About Temple Sinai High Holidays Fund Drive 2025

Over 1.5 million people in the DMV don’t know where their next meal is coming from.

In 2024,
37% of our neighbors experienced food insecurity, a 5% increase from 2023, and this number is continuing to rise dramatically in 2025.

With
federal funding cuts and job loss, CAFB is expecting a large increase in food insecure individuals in our region.

Nearly
50,000 families are expected to lose SNAP benefits which provided households with approximately 40 meals per month. At the same time, cuts in federal food supplies result in decreased resources to meet rising demand.

EVERY DOLLAR YOU DONATE CAN HELP CAFB PROVIDE 2 MEALS TO NEIGHBORS IN NEED!

Last year, Temple Sinai helped provide more than 70,000 meals—let’s keep the momentum going!

To donate by check or through a DAF, please contact Caroline Sillars (csillars@capitalareafoodbank.org) for instructions.
